Healing Harmful Beliefs with What Unites Us Spiritually with Granddaughter Crow
Are you interested in discovering how we are far more alike than different? Would you like to heal harmful beliefs holding you back in life? If your answer is Yes, join Granddaughter Crow and me on Wednesday, January 11th, from 10 - 11 A.M. Central Time U.S. Our conversation is about her remarkable life journey and her latest book, Belief, Being, and Beyond.
Granddaughter Crow (Dr. Joy Gray) holds a doctorate in leadership. She is internationally recognized as a medicine woman who comes from a long line of spiritual leaders as a member of the Navajo Nation. Due to her academic achievements, Granddaughter Crow is also a Delta Mu Delta Honor Society member. She was voted Woman of the Year in 2015 by the National Association of Professional Women.
There is more beyond our beliefs waiting for us to open up. Presenting a groundbreaking new paradigm for understanding cultural perspectives, Granddaughter Crow invites us to delve into ideas outside the dogma we may have previously been taught. As an award-winning author, her books, The Journey of the Soul, Wisdom of the Natural World, and Belief, Being, and Beyond focus on how we are more similar than different. By exploring our pre-existing beliefs and the themes various spiritual traditions share, we can heal thoughts that may hurt us and others.
Her latest book, Belief, Being, and Beyond, uses a variety of spiritual concepts and scientific findings to engage us in deep self-reflection and growth. In addition to sharing inspiring anecdotes from her own life, Granddaughter Crow explores the creation, flood, hero, end-of-times, and afterlife motifs in Christianity, Hinduism, Navajo traditions, and other belief systems. These stories, along with journal prompts, tarot insights, and wisdom from the cycles of nature, help us truly know ourselves and empower us to live with an open mind, our authentic self.

Free Puppies Documentary Film
in Pets
Featuring filmmaker Samantha Wishman and dog rescuer Monda Wooten, this episode of Big Blend Radio focuses on the new documentary film FREE PUPPIES which is out now on VOD and DVD in the USA and Canada.
FREE PUPPIES! travels across the country's political divide to explore one of the many areas where no public animal services exist, and volunteers -- many of them women -- step in. The story follows rescuers Monda Wooten, Ann Brown, and Ruth Smith, and the network of independent “rescue ladies” who patrol vast rural counties in the Tennessee Valley caring for stray and surrendered dogs. Their grassroots efforts to start up a spay-and-neuter program, rescue countless dogs from euthanasia and neglect, and place them in loving "forever homes" will pluck at the heartstrings of any dog person. Our Youth...Sacrifice Now or Sacrifice Later
in Family
Sacrifice Now or Later...Which will it be? We can sacrifice now and spend quality time with our children making sure they are prepared for the future. What does that mean? Investments, putting time in: Education, Secular and Christian, socialization, activities, karate, soccer, basketball, hockey, football, parent conference, reading, tutoring, career exploration, communication, travel, Love, love, love, Family, respect. Our children only go this way one time. If we sacrifice later and wait to invest or dont invest, what kind of return do you expect. What can we offer in 2023 to make sure all children matter. Children, youth, kids have to have a way to support themselves. They will not be babies long. The Time Is Now... Sacrifice...Invest...It is our Responsibility as Adults, Community. We need Nurses, X ray Technicians, Dentist, Anesthesiologist, Physical Therapist, Lawyers, Doctors, surgeons, Special Trades, Builders, Plummers, electricians, enterpreneurs. We have to have high expectations and make sure they can compete and be prepared.
About Family
Like the TV show, modern families come in all shapes and sizes. Many children are a product of divorce, are in touch with both their biological and adopted parents, have two moms or two dads (or both), or are being raised by their grandparents. No matter how atypical the face of today's family, the values stay the same: love and support. Moms and dads will find plenty of support in BlogTalkRadio's parenting shows, especially those about time-management topics that fit both stay-at-home and working parents: organizing kids' activity schedules, decluttering, reducing the workweek, managing stress, making quick meals and more. We've also got shows about friendship – you know, your family of choice rather than family of origin. Just remember: everyone's family seems dysfunctional in its own way. And family may irritate you, but more often than not, you can always count on family to pick you up from the airport.
